After 18 years of marriage, Louise and Jamie Redknapp have officially filed for divorce, it has been reported.

The pair separated over the summer following Louise’s stint on Strictly Come Dancinglast year, and after months apart the pair have reportedly decided that their best option is a divorce.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider explained: “Louise has filed the paperwork and there is no going back.”

It is expected that 44-year-old Jamie and Louise, 43, will share custody of their two sons, Charley, 13, and nine-year-old Beau, with the boys living with Jamie in their family home after Louise moved out earlier this year.

The news comes just weeks after it was reported that Louise “regretted” her decision to leave Jamie, with a source telling Now magazine that the star “really missed” her husband, adding: “It’s all been a hard call for her and there have been times when she’s felt stronger and times she felt weaker about being apart from Jamie and now she’s seriously wavering on her decision.”

In October, Louise confessed that the break-up had been difficult as she still loved Jamie, telling Stella magazine: “It’s so hard because I love him.

“He’s an amazing man and we’ve had 20 good years together. I know he’s trying to understand that I do need to do this.

“People might look at me and think I’ve got everything, but a sweeping staircase and designer handbag doesn’t really do it for me.”

Louise also admitted that her TV return on Strictly Come Dancing last year helped her realise that she’d turned into a “sort of Stepford wife” in her marriage – claims that Jamie was reportedly left “stung” by.
