Olivier Giroud Speaks On Leaving Chelsea For Another Club This Summer
Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud has disclosed that he is ready to leave the Stamford Bridge this summer due to his lack of playing time under manager, Maurizio Sarri.The 32-year-old said he is not afraid to take a step down in order to play a more important role at another club.
Giroud has fallen down the pecking order in Sarri’s squad this campaign since the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain.
“Today, I have the impression that there is clearly no competition with Higuain since January.
“It’s like that, I know I’m only going to play in the Europa League and I try to do what it takes to be as effective and important as possible for the team.”
Giroud won the French Ligue 1 title with Montpellier before moving to Arsenal in 2012.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to France club, Marseille.
Giroud added: “The future may be hectic this summer. I’m not afraid to go down a level to have more playing time.
“It could be that I end my career in France.”
