Policeman, 28 Others Die In New Attack In Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the attack on Maro and some villages in Kajuru and Kachia local government areas of the state.

The state Police Commissioner, Ahmad Abdurrahman, confirmed that 29 persons, including a policeman, were killed during the attack while scores were injured.

The Police chief made this known at a press conference Tuesday evening.

Gunmen on Tuesday attacked Maro village in Kajuru Local Government Area and part of Kachia, in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In the renewed attack on the village, many houses and a Police patrol van were said to have been razed.

The village came under attack two weeks ago where several people lost their lives.

A source told one of our correspondents that bandits in hundreds, invaded that community with dangerous weapons.

It was also gathered that as result of the attack, may villagers had flee the place, adding that “even the police patrol van that came into the village was burnt.”

“Many residents had fled into the bushes. The bandits came in their hundreds,” the source added.
