Flying Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semifinal of the Under 20 African Cup of Nations championship going on in Niger after beating the host nation 1-0 in their final Group game.

Flying Eagles have now qualified for the 2019 Under 20 World Cup which will hold in May in Poland.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Flying Eagles of Nigeria were on Tuesday evening, February 5, forced to a goalless draw by South Africa in their second match at the U20 African Cup of Nations championship.

Eagles went into this match with high spirit and boosted morale after beating Burundi in their first game, but they met more determined South African side who could have won the tie.
