But this was different in the case of Simi and Adekunle Gold as they tried as much as possible to keep their wedding info on a very low key. Music star, Adekunle Gold is a year older today and his wife, Simi is beyond excited.

She shared a ‘never before seen’ portrait from their traditional wedding and captioned it

On January 9, 2019, two top Nigerian celebrities, former YBNL artiste, Adekunle Gold and X3M artiste, Simisola, got married in a very private ceremony in Lagos.

Nigerians were only hit with the news that the singing sensations would be tying the knot somewhere in Lagos about a week ago. Adekunle Gold and Simi had their fans on their toes when news broke that they were getting married after years of speculations that the both of them were dating.

The video, which is the visuals for AG’s song, Promise, features his new wife and it’s clear that scenes from the video were shot on their wedding day or moments before or after the ceremony as both of them can be seen donning their wedding outfits.

Though there has been no official statement indicating the video is actually a clip from the wedding. The wedding video of Adekunle Gold and Simi has been released by the former YBNL singer, just some few hours ago on his YouTube channel.

It’s no doubt that Adekunle Gold and Simi’s wedding was the most lowkey Nigerian celebrity wedding of the decade. Adekunle via a letter to Kemi Filani revealed why they chose to wed in private. According to Adekunle Gold, “This January, before God and our family, we vowed to do this thing called life together.

To be honest, it’s easy to get lost in the limelight; so we definitely have a slightly obsessive desire for a private life that belongs to just us.

The “Promise” turned out to be a love song by the couple, which showed snippets of their private wedding.
