Ending the rule of Putin on top of the Forbes' list of most powerful person in the world, China's President Xi became number one on the list. French President Emmanuel Macron entered the list for the first time and came at the 12th spot.
MUKESH AMBANI AT 32ND PLACEWhile the Forbes featured the people from all fields, backgrounds and regions, only one Indian businessman could make it to the list. Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani seized the 32nd spot to feature in Forbes' list of 75 most powerful persons in the world.
CHINESE PRESIDENT XI JINPING IS THE MOST POWERFUL PERSON ON EARTH: FORBES
According to Forbes, the Chinese President seized the top spot after China's Congress amended its constitution in March, broadening his influence and eliminating term limits. He enjoys a cult of personality not seen since Chairman Mao.

PM MODI IS THE 9TH MOST POWERFUL PERSON IN THE WORLD
"Modi has raised his profile as a global leader in recent years during official visits with US President Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. He has also emerged as a key figure in the international effort to tackle climate change, as warming affects millions of his country's rural citizens," it said, adding that Modi "remains hugely popular".

Russian President Vladimir Putin has come down to second place and is no longer the most powerful person in the world. American President Donald Trump has also dropped one place owing to 'limited success' in one year of his office and being under investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, unable to shake off scandals arising from his personal and business life.

Angela Merkel, the chancellor of Germany and de facto leader of Europe, is named as the fourth most powerful person in the world.
Prime Minister Theresa May dropped one position from her previous 13th ranking to 14th ranking.
OTHER NOTABLE NAMES IN FORBES'S LIST
Some of the notable names in the Forbes' list are Jeff Bezos (5th), Pope Francis (6th), Bill Gates (7th), Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud (8th), Emmanuel Macron (12th), and Mark Zuckerberg (13th).
