One Person Shot Dead As Rival Cultists Battle In Broad Daylight

A man has died in renewed cult clash which took place on Monday (yesterday) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.

According to reports, the man lost his life after he was shot at close range while two rival cult groups attacked each other with various weapons in broad daylight at Air force junction by slaughter road in the state capital.

The corpse of the young man was left on the road for hours even as people gathered before it was later evacuated.

This clash is coming days after the police Command in Bayelsa said it had restored normalcy to Brass Island, following  violence which erupted in the area, from a clash between two cult groups.

The clash was between rival cult groups over political tension in the area before the police were deployed
