Bricklayer 'Threatens To Kill 13-year-old After Raping Her'

One Dayo Samuel, a 35-year-old bricklayer, has been paraded by the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akure, Ondo State, for defiling a minor.

Samuel, a resident of Oke-Obere in Ijoka area of Akure, was accused of molesting his neighbour's 13-year-old daughter.

He was said to have threatened to kill the girl, if she told anyone about the incident.

His threat led to his arrest by officers of the NSCDC Intelligence Unit, Ondo State Command.

Pedro Awili, the Ondo NSCDC boss, noted that reports of the abuse of minors was becoming recurrent in the state.

"If you are caught, the law will take the course. It is better to stay away from this shameful crime," he said.
