News In Pictures: Heartbreaking! Nigerian pastor killed two days to his son’s dedication

A Nigerian cleric, Prophet ThankGod Abam, aka The Commander Onowu 1, has been reportedly killed by suspected gunmen in his residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

ThankGod Abam who is the General Overseer of Intercessory Prayer Ministries reportedly died on Thursday night.

According to multiple reports on Facebook, his child’s dedication was scheduled for Sunday, August 5, in Port Harcourt.

Many of his friends on Facebook shared photos of the deceased “man of God” on their timeline and wrote touching tributes.

Some also wrote personal experiences they had with him and showered praises on him for being a good man.

One Nkiru Amaefula wrote on her timeline,

“Oh Jesus, this is just too much o… What a wicked world…

“Your child dedication is on Sunday 5th of August and now you are no more…

“They couldn’t even let you dedicate your innocent little son… 😢… What did you do to them that they couldn’t just forgive and give you second chance… Who will speak for the young generation ministers…

“Who will fight for us… I can’t forget your simple lifestyle… I can’t forget the last time i saw you at dr pascal Good mother brutal how you were yabbing me with your jokes and everyone there that day chaiii…

“Why, why, why, why death… What a black Friday… A Mighty man has fallen… 😢 😢 😢 tears…

“My heart is broken down Jesus… RIP papa general de commanding commander prophet ThankGod Abam ThankGod Abam Ubi till we meet again to depart no more… Just can’t stop crying 😢 oooo… The world is wicked ooo… Chaiii.”

Another man, simply identified as Kingpriest Chibuzo D Valourous, also confirmed the sad news. He wrote,

“LIFE IS NOTHING…JUST CONFIRMED IT…RIP PROPHET THANKGOD ABAM……

“I just received a call to be in your church on Sunday for a child dedication but is so unfortunate that death has decided to take you away on time.

“REST IN PEACE SIR! YOU COULDN’T EVEN STAY ALIVE TO DEDICATE YOUR INNOCENT SON THIS 5TH AUGUST…”
