Abayomi Shogunle Challenges Nigerians To Post Clips Of Police Brutality (Video)

Abayomi Shogunle, Director of Police Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit on Sunday challenged his followers to provide visual proofs of police brutality.

On his twitter handle, @yomishogunle,  Shogunle, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, shared a video of police brutality in Baltimore, US and said; “I believe Nigeria policemen don’t do this, I will give ₦25k each to four videos showing NPF officers doing SAME THING in video. ”

He also stipulated that those who want to respond will have to do so within the tweet thread.

His followers responded with videos of police brutality, most of which Shogunle responded to with, “Zero Naira.” and proceeded to state that the scenario in the follower’s video didn’t tally with that of the video he posted.

One of those, who responded was Nigerian-born American rapper, Wale Gates.  Asides from stating that Wale’s videos didn’t depict the scene, in the video, he tweeted, he also blocked him on Twitter. This led to Wale Gates reacting on his own Twitter handle, @walegates.
