2019 election: What Aisha Buhari told APC members
Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South East mobilizing women ahead of the 2019 election.She spoke when party women visited her yesterday at the State House, Abuja.
“It is a fact that women determine the outcome of elections; therefore, it is important to mobilize more women to ensure that our great party is re-elected to continue the good work that it is doing”, she said.
Mrs Buhari commended the high number of women aspirants from the zone, expressing the hope that this will lead to producing more able and competent candidates.
“Women need to be in political offices for them to make a difference in the lives of their families,” she said, promising to support female aspirant across party lines.
She called on officials and members of the APC to ensure party supremacy, respect party constitution and shun divisive tendencies.
Earlier, wife of Imo state Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha, who led the delegation said they were in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s bid to return to office in 2019.
