Seven-Man Robbery Gang Arrested By The Police in Katsina

The members of a seven-man gang of suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and cattle rustlers were on Thursday paraded by the Katsina State Police Command.

The members of the gang were arrested on Wednesday after they engaged in a fierce battle with the police patrol team, known as Operation Sharan Daji, attached to the Safana division of the command.

The suspects are Ya’u Ishuhu, 30, Iliyasu Isah, 30, and Umaru Ibrahim, 25, of Garin Wazirin village also in the Safana Local Government Area.

Others are Tukur Abdulaziz, 30, Ibrahim Rabi’u, 30, Ibrahim Mamman, 40, and Bala Babangida, 25.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammed Wakili, who confirmed the development, also revealed that two AK-47 rifles with Breech nos. 56045391 and 071498975 with two empty magazines were recovered from the suspects.
