APC 21st century miracle, PDP no longer a brand – El-rufai says
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Wednesday said the All Progressives Congress has no major opposition ahead of the 2019 election.
He said the ruling APC had no credible opposition in People’s Democratic Party, PDP, as the party was no longer a brand.
El-Rufai revealed that the only opposition to the party is its conflicts within, which he said he had confidence that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reconciliation committee would resolve soon and make the party stronger.
He also stated that more revelations of PDP misrule during 16yrs of administration will come before 2019 elections.
The governor said this in Ilorin while delivering Al-Hikmah Univeristy’s first public lecture titled: ‘Governing justly: Perspective from Far and Near with Lessons for Nigeria.’
“PDP is no longer a brand; APC has no opposition once the Tinubu resolves differences.
“More revelations concerning the PDP’s 16 years of alleged misrule would come to the fore before the 2019 general elections.
“We are a party that is just five years old. We are a miracle. We are truly a 21 Century miracle.
“A party that was formed a year to the elections and it ejected a party that had ruled for 16 years is a miracle.
“We will solve our problems and we will win the next elections even in more states.”
