It has not been easy for Chinonso, wife of gospel singer, Eric Arubayi, who died last year.

Arubayi died after complications from taking a fake malaria drug. Today marks the 1st year remembrance of the singer.

The wife wrote: ” It’s been 365 days endured… 365 days survived. 365 days of trying to make sense of you leaving me… Hmmn….Makdaddy, you left an indelible mark in my life and I carry a million memories of you in my heart, my body, my brain. Keep singing with the angels? #1yearafterloss.”

Eric Arubayi was the son of the former Vice-Chancellor of the Delta State University.
He emerged as one of the finalists at the West African Idols in 2007.

The singer married his wife, Chinonso, in 2016 and they both have a son together.
