Heartbreaking: See The Face Of Cute Little Boy Who Was Killed By His Own Mother's Car

The story has been told of the cute young boy who was accidentally killed by his own mother who was reversing her car.

Drayke Whittington is a five year-old boy who was killed after his mom accidentally reversed her car over him.

According to Metro UK, Drayke Whittington died Sunday after getting out of his family’s car to pick up a string of Mardi Gras beads thrown out by his sister.

His mom, Melissa Shields, began backing the vehicle up out of a driveway in Moss Point, Ms., not realizing her son had gotten out.

Tragically, when Drayke tried to get back in he was run over and seriously injured. He was life-flighted to the nearby Singing River Hospital but died en route.

After the accident happened, Drayke’s grandmother Darlene Whittington posted a frantic Facebook message, writing: ‘URGENT CALL ALL PRAYER WARRIORS …. ‘DESPERATE NEED FOR PRAYER!! My grandson has been run over and we need prayer!!!!!!!’

And after Drayke died his mom shared photos of her son on Facebook, prompting friend Sarah Mitchell Smith to post a ‘broken heart’ emoji with the comment ‘I just can’t believe it.’

Police are investigating the accident, and have not filed any charges. It will be presented to a county grand jury, reports WXXV25.
