Innocent Chukwuma, the founder of the maiden vehicle manufacturing company in Nigeria has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over a lingering financial case.

Dr. Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Innoson Group.

The legal tussle between Guarantee Trust Bank and Innoson Motors Limited has gotten messier with the EFCC wading in.

Innocent Chukwuma, the Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Motors was today arrested at his residence in Enugu State.

"Like a commandor style, GTB via EFFC stormed Innoson Enugu residential home,arrested and transferred him to Lagos like a common criminal without any prior invitation," the Facebook page of Innoson Motors revealed.

Hundreds of factory workers from Innoson factory, Emene Enugu staged a protest over what they described as the illegal arrest of their boss and his transfer to Lagos by EFCC as allegedly organised by GTB.
