DSS Has Been Torturing My Brother Since April And Haven't Told Us His Offence Or Let Us See Him

In the face of the outcry against the brutality of SARS officials, experiences have it that many other things are going on in the security forces of the nation who are seemingly now above the law. Below is the story of a Nigerian who approached a 247NNU correspondent.

Sir, it is on this premise that I wish to narrate my families predicament through this medium ,trusting and having Faith that you will be of help since our effort so far on this matter has not yielded any positive result.

My Name is Vincent Anaele from Umuabali Ikembara in Ikeduru L.G.A  Imo State, Nigeria.

MY STORY
On the early hours of Monday 3rd of April, 2017 precisely 2am, the D.S.S invaded our residence at No 12  Nzeocha Street Aba, and picked up one of my younger brothers ( English, Innocent Freeborn ), ( Native Name: Chisom Anaele.) who is a minister of the gospel 24years old.He owns an interdenominational ministry in Aba.

As the time of this arrest, he was on night gown which they did not allow him to change, when he demanded to know his offence they slapped him.They did not tell my siblings who were in the same house with him his offence, or the place they were taking him to. or who they were. They collected four phones and the touch light and a wallet.And they put on DSS bullet proof and D.S.S gun.

In the morning when I was informed of this incident, I left Owerri were I based to search out where they took him to, my siblings joined me, and we search all over D.S.S branches in Port-hacourt, Aba State D.S.S including Imo State D.S.S and zone 9 Umuahia and CPS in Aba and Imo State police headquarter and the all denied knowledge of the arrest.

However as GOD may have it, one of the phones belonging to one of my siblings which they took was switched on, when we noticed that, we called the line but no one picked it, I reported the matter to O.C command SARS Imo State who now tracked the line and discovered it was in D.S.S port-Harcourt . He advice me to go to D.S.S PH, that they are one that came for the arrest that my brother is there. When I went back there I met one D.S.S officer and told him we tracked one of the phones they took along the arrest and that it is in D.S.S port-Harcourt.

I also showed him my brothers picture, it was then  he accepted that my brother is there, he told me I should not worry after their investigation they will release him. I asked him the officer for what offence he was arrested, he did not tell me; I requested for his phone No, and he also refused to give me.

I contacted a lawyer (Name Austin Nwosu,No 11/primarbri street Port Harcourt),and he went several times and they refused to let him see my brother after several attempt. I Have made several attempt also myself, but the OC legal in D.S.S who is from Anambra State met my lawyer and he agree to bring him to court so that he will be bailed from there. When I demand for his offence he said nothing. But up till now he has not fulfilled that promise.

He personally confirmed that my brother was there when we gave him his details . he even requested that we gave him some money which we also did. The day he said my brother will be in court, they brought in two different persons instead of my brother, he was not one of those they brought, when my lawyer asked him, he said it was a mistake from them and pleaded with him.

Am surprise up till now he has not done anything about it.
I am confused my family is poor and my little siblings are not doing anything serious for a living. The little savings I had out of my job as a sells man with a company in Owerri is gone over this matter and yet there is no positive result so far.

My pastors younger brother who is a lawyer in Abuja through his own contact confirmed it was D.S.S port-Harcourt that arrested him. However they  claimed they reason for his arrested was the comment he made through the social media which is not true. Is a conspiracy against him from his fellow pastors and neighbourhood to humiliate him.

As a matter of fact a man who identified himself as one Emmanuel Awoala Francies from PH called me recently and said he was in the same cell with my brother at DSS PH before he was released. he said he was their when my brother was brought in and it was my brother that gave him the contact to reach my family. However, he said they moved him from their a day after they brought him into the cell. he is not aware where the possibly moved him to. that he suspects it could be in Abuja.

He also promised testify in court about this if he is called upon to do so.

Sir, this issue now, is that he is in D.S.S Headquarters Abuja. It has been confirmed that he is there. And they refuse to release him and refuse to come to court,a letter have been sent to them DSS,through Hon,Henry Nwawuba(He is representing Mbaike in the federal House.

From my constituency.the did not reply the letter till now.and refuse to say what they said my brother said.they want to kill my Brother.
