Damini Ogulu, a Nigerian reggae and dancehall artiste might have been apparently excluded from the charges of armed robbery and violent abuse leveled against him by the police.

As the case against three suspects who allegedly attacked Mr 2Kay after his performance in October’s BuckwlydnBreathless concert at Eko Hotel, Lagos State was heard in court earlier yesterday, Burna Boy and his manager’s names were excluded from the charge sheet.

Joel Kantiock who manages Burna was paraded among the suspects a fortnight ago while the police doubled down on their claim that the ariste had a case to answer.

On his part Burna Boy denied that he was on the run as alleged by the police commissioner, Edgar Imohimi.

In court yesterday, the only defendants named were the three attackers arrested for carrying out the robbery. Damini Ogulu and Kantiock were left off the charge sheet.

It is not clear if that means that the charges against him have been dropped as he gears up to close the year with his headline concert on December 17th.
