KJD honours Obey, Oyedepo, others at 25th anniversary

JUJU music legend, Ebenezer Obey, Bishop David Oyedepo and Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Samuel Adejare, among others, were honoured at the 25th anniversary of Kenny Jones Designs.

The Chief Executive Officer of the fashion design company, Mr. Kenny Olayiwola, said the individuals were honoured for their exemplary conducts, inspirational works and the positive impacts they were making on their communities.

The fashion designer explained that Obey had remained an inspirational icon, blessing society with his exceptional talents and the work of arts.

He said the musician played a positive role when he started his fashion design career in 1992, adding that he had remained a great role model to him and to the society at large.

At the event, which coincided with Olayiwola’s  birthday, he pointed out the great potential in the fashion design industry,  saying that if the sector was properly harnessed,it  could be one of the highest employers of labour in the country.
