Conspiracy theories surrounding the Las Vegas shootings are rife after a video emerged appearing to show gunfire from a different part of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Posted online shows light flashes halfway up the building, not on the 32nd floor where Stephen Paddock smashed two windows to fire out of.

He killed 59 and injured more than 520 people attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival off the Las Vegas strip on Sunday.

The flashes are seen by police responding to the scene. In part of a police scanner audio clip, one officer can be heard saying it’s strobe lighting. He says: ‘I haven’t seen any flashes from Mandalay but if it is coming from Mandalay there is a strobe light coming from one of the windows on the east side.’

A SWAT team blew down Paddock’s hotel room door and found him dead.

Pictures leaked online show him lying in a pool of blood, and apparent gunshot wound in his head. Guns and ammo littered the floor.

It is thought Paddock spent a few days moving all 23 guns into his hotel room from his car. Police understand how the incident unfolded, but are still trying to piece together a motive.
