CCTV footage, shared on Facebook, appeared to show a 59-year-old unnamed cleaned shoved onto the rails by a man who then casually strolls past.
The horrified victim appears to hit her head during the fall and before looking up at her attacker.
Stunned co-workers look on as the man, dressed in dark trousers, a green shirt and beige cap, then strolls away.
According to the South China Morning Post, the man was arrested on suspicion of assault.
A spokeswoman told the newspaper: “The woman suffered injuries to her jaw and was sent to Pok Oi Hospital for treatment.”
