Evans: Nigeria Prisons reacts to ‘escape plot’ by billionaire kidnapper
Nigeria Prisons Service, NPS, on Friday spoke on the reported plot by billionaire kidnapper, Onwumadike Chukwudumeme also known as Evans to escape from his prison cell.
Speaking, the Prisons Public Relations Officer, Francis Enobare told newsmen at the Lagos State Command, Kirikiri Medium Security, Apapa that “the suspect was in high spirit”.
The Deputy Controller of Prisons insisted that Evans did not plot to escape.
“It is not true that Evans plotted to escape from our custody. He is in high spirit and he sees his lawyers as he wants.
“He has never plotted to escape since we took custody of him. The security around him is very tight; all our prisons are well fortified.”
