71-year-old Woman Allegedly Killed by Fulani Herdsmen

The body of a 71-year-old farmer has been discovered allegedly killed by Fulani herdsmen who attacked the village a weeks ago.

Mrs. Uche Oko's body was discovered at a farm in Afikpo

People have been left in serious shock after the decomposing body of a 71-year-old woman, Mrs. Uche Oko, was discovered at Amuro Afikpo in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State at her farm.

She is alleged to have been killed by suspected herdsmen who had attacked the village a week ago. Oko had last Tuesday gone to farm to harvest cassava stems to plant in one of her farms when she was attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Search parties were organised by people of the area to know her whereabouts but to no avail until yesterday when her body was found with machete cuts.
