A taxi boss has gone missing after attending a traditional ceremony, causing quite a stir in the community.

Owen Zakwe, a 45-year-old South African taxi boss has been missing for almost two weeks, and his family suspect he was murdered and his body dumped somewhere!

According to Daily Sun SA, Owen from Wetane Village in Mandeni, northern KZN, went missing on 15 July.

He had attended a traditional ceremony of another taxi boss in Gingindlovu when he went missing.

A relative who didn’t want to be named said they’d found out that, on the way to the ceremony, Owen ran into a taxi boss who had a grudge against him.

They had an argument and the taxi boss pointed a gun at Owen, but a friend calmed them down.

“We heard that the incident happened at Sundumbili Plaza. The taxi boss who pointed a gun at him was at the same ceremony,” said the relative.

All the people Owen claimed he was with on the day had not been helpful.

They now suspect he may have been killed!

“We’ve phoned them and asked that they help us because they were the last people he was with, but no one has been helpful,” said the relative.

They also found it very strange that Owen had allegedly been attending a ceremony.

“Owen never attended a gathering of anyone in the taxi industry,” said the relative.

“We became worried when he didn’t come back home. We tried to call him, but both his phones were off.”

Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said cops were still looking for Owen.
