#GoogleforNigeria: Google’s new app, YouTube Go, to undergo trial in Nigeria

Google is developing a new app called ‘YouTube Go’, which the company will test-run in Nigeria.

The app has been tried in India, so Nigeria becomes the second market where it will undergo a trial.

“YouTube Go’s three top features are performance, performance and more performance,” the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Sundar Pitchai, said.

He said, “To make the YouTube Go a reality, we used four main pillars – and the first is to be relatable with
a simple interface, which will make it load instantly. This is great for simplicity.

“In addition to the home screen, YouTube Go wants to be the place for users to search for their favourite videos.”

Pitchai added, “YouTube Go will also give you a preview before downloading. YouTube Go is also social, so you can download your favourite videos and send to friends. To sign up, go to Youtubego.com/signup.”
