Two Suspect Arrested For Battery Theft At Etisalat Site
The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing eight heavy-duty batteries at a mast site of a telecommunications company, Etisalat Nigeria, in the Isara-Remo area of the state. |

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects allegedly sold the batteries, valued at N1.2m, to one Obinna, who was said to be on the run.
He said, “Investigation revealed that Obinna is known for receiving stolen goods in the area.”
Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said immediately the case was reported at the Isara-Remo Police Division, the Divisional Police Officer detailed “detectives to unravel the identity of the thieves.”
He said their efforts led to the arrest of the two suspects who had made confessional statements, adding that the stolen batteries had been recovered.
He said, “Efforts are on to apprehend the fleeing Obinna, who is the receiver.”
He added that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had directed that the suspects be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
