Some angry residents of Lake Shagari Quarters in the city of Kano, on Friday, apprehended a suspected phone thief and beat him to a pulp.

The suspected thief

A Facebook user identified as Sani Umar, has taken to the social media platform to share the photo of a suspected phone thief who was caught and beaten to a pulp in the commerce city of Kano, in Kano state.

An online user who transcribed the report which was in Hausa, wrote; "From the little I could understand from the story shared in Hausa, the phone thief pictured was caught around Lake Shagari Quarters, Kano.

"He was beaten to pulp. His two accomplices were able to escape."
