The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested two suspected solar panel vandals operating within the Abuja metropolis.

Solomon Kwaghmgulum, 34 and Mohammed Haruna, 30, were arrested at about 9pm on Thursday along AYA bridge, Abacha Road.

The police said their anti-car theft team received a tip-off from a member of the public that the suspects were leaving the scene with solar panels.

“Officers moved swiftly to the scene and found the suspects with the stolen solar items; They have made confessional statements and are assisting the police with investigations,” the FCT police spokesman,Usen Omorodion, said in a statement.

The command added that it was determined to checkmate unwholesome activities of vandals and other hoodlums in the FCT.
