Popular Actor Reveals How Gov. Ayo Fayose Can Still Assist Late Moji Olaiya Family

Popular actor, Yomi Fabiyi, who is serving as publicity secretary for the burial committee of late actress, Moji Olaiya, has said that there was no point in writing any letter seeking assistance from the Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, since the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had made provisions that exceeded expectations for the late actress’ burial.

This was his reaction when asked whether the committee had finally submitted a request letter to Fayose as advised by his Special Assistant on Publicity and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka.

He, however, added that there was nothing stopping the governor from rendering any assistance he can to the deceased family since those who have been assisting thus far did not get any letter seeking for help.

“There is no point sending any letter to Ekiti government for financial support on the issue of our dear colleague and sister, Moji Olaiya, since Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come in. He has even done more than enough. Many thanks to him. The onus now falls on Governor Fayose as number one indigene of Ekiti state which Moji Olaiya was its Cultural Ambassador till death, to also do something tangible if he deems it fit. He can even give Moji’s children scholarship and all that, he will surely be appreciated by the family. Not that we’re compelling the governor to do anything, but if he wants to he’s very much welcomed.

“The committee didn’t write any letter to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tnubu before he did what he did and so also other kind hearted individuals who contributed their quotas. It’s a case of emergency which must be quickly attended to, and we thank God everything concerning that has been sorted out. But just like I said, Governor Fayose can still come in whatever measure even after the burial, his effort will still be appreciated,” Fabiyi told Encomium yesterday.

The body of the late actress is still being expected from Canada with sources hinting that it will either arrive later tonight or tomorrow.
