More Info About Soldier Working With Kidnapper Evans Released [PHOTO]
Victor Chukwunonso, a lance corporal with army number 09/NA/64/6317 has been arrested by authorities for working together with kidnap kingpin Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike aka Evans.
The lance corporal is attached to the Nigeria Army Band Corps, Abatti Barracks, Surulere, Lagos State.
He is from Onitsha in Anambra State.
According to reports, Evans, who is in police custody mentioned the soldier as one of his accomplices during interrogation. This led to the soldier's arrest on Friday at Ojo by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, led by Abba Kyari.
The police said the soldier has confessed to his involvement in three kidnap operations, and that he got N6.5m as reward for his contribution.
The police added that a manhunt has been launched for other members of the gang.
