MUHAMMAD Ali’s only natural son claims that the star’s widow Lonnie has taken most of his £46million fortune – leaving him broke.

Ali Jr says that at a secret family summit late last year he was promised installments for the rest of his life – but that so far he’s only received three cheques totalling less than £2,000.

Now the 45-year-old’s pleading with Lonnie, the executor of the will, to give him the rest of what he’s owed otherwise he’ll end up homeless.

The heavyweight champ’s son is currently staying on the couch of a friend’s house in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as the first anniversary of his dad’s death approaches.

He told The Sun On Sunday: “I’ve been trying to make ends meet, but it’s so hard.

“I am broke. I haven’t got a dime to my name.

“I was supposed to get a monthly check, but I’m not getting anything.

“This money they’re sending isn’t enough.

“I need what’s coming to me.

“If I don’t get it, I go hungry, I won’t have any clothes, and I’ll be out on the street.”

It was thought that the family had settled their differences at a family summit held by Ali Jr’s sister Maryum late last year in Los Angeles.

There they discussed the will, but they were never told how much Lonnie was keeping for herself.

Ali Jr believes that Lonnie has taken most of the fortune and says that Ali’s beloved brother Rahman was purposely cut out, even though he’s penniless in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

Ali Jr says that his father, who died on June 3 last year at the age of 74, would never have wanted all the family cut out and says it was Lonnie who changed the will when he became house-bound.

He said: “I don’t know what people got – they’ve discussed nothing with me.

“I think Lonnie has got the bulk of the money from the will.

“She got more than she deserved.

“Rahman didn’t get anything.

“Lonnie’s stopped a lot of people who was in my father’s corner.

“People who loved and cared for my father, she stopped them from coming around.

“Now she’s blocked everyone out of the will.

“He wouldn’t have wanted this.

“She is the one who would have profited the most from this.”

The family of seven sisters, Ali Jr and adopted son Asaad promised at the family meeting that they wouldn’t bicker over their inheritance.

But instead it has done nothing of the sort - as they are barely on speaking terms.

The simmering resentment between family members dates back to the funeral when both Asaad and Ali Jr were snubbed as pallbearers.

Instead the coffin was carried by Will Smith, Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson.

He was also buried two weeks after he died, which is against normal Muslim tradition.

Ali Jr added: “My sisters kiss Lonnie’s butt, that’s why they don’t speak out.

“I’m the only one struggling though now, so my hunch is that they got some of their money.”
