A South African man has been caught in a shoot-out with the police after he tried to hijack a car.
A South African man has been shot while allegedly trying to hijack a police vehicle in Alberton, South Africa on Monday afternoon. He was shot in the head as he tried to drive away with the car on the N3, police sources told News24.
In the process, he lost control as the car veered off the road.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring said the car veered off the road during a shoot-out between police and the would-be hijacker. He was later attended to by paramedics.
